 'in/tangible cartographies – new arab video' was commisioned by World Wide Video Festival 2001, and especially curated by Jayce Salloum.
Provocation or interrogation, this is an attempt at coming to terms with the limitations of the romanticism of one-dimensional representations by textualizing the process itself. Related to Khan's ongoing anti-advertisement series this piece utilizes direct questions to the audience as part of a longer research spanning several projects. In swooping pans, a vertiginous array of commentary and analysis follows.
