'in/tangible cartographies – new arab video' was commisioned by World Wide Video Festival 2001, and especially curated by Jayce Salloum.
The private space as discomforting comfort zone of life at home in Abu Dhabi, the ubiquitous cell phone ringing punctuates this rapid fire stream of incongruities in the dissatisfaction of pop culture salvation and contemporary mishaps that threaten to collapse all. Split cultures, split screens, life split into pieces trying to conform the interior sensibilities and exterior realities.
