The nice thing about the Teatre-Museo Dalí is that it not only exhibits his famous paintings of spindle-legged giraffes, softened watches and bizarre landscapes, but that the building itself is a Dalí work of art with a painting of the foot soles of a Greek god on the ceiling. The niches contain torsos with intriguing psycho-analytical drawers in the midriff. In the bedroom stands a bed between bizarre spiralling pillars, on the landing hangs an artistically dangling body. The hedges in the garden have been clipped into the shape of Gala's name, his spouse and muse. Beyond the fence there even stands an exemplary admirer staring at this willful ghost castle in which Dalí's spirit still wanders. In this fascinating video, he personally explains, in his hypnotising voice, his creations and his philosophy of life: ''It is quite understandable that no-one understands Dalí, because Dalí himself never understands his own work. Dalí creates only wonders.''
