A surprising and compact portrait in 'postcards' of the visitors to the seaside resort Cape May in the late summer. In the autumn one meets there Americans in the autumn of their lives. They spend their days staring out over the water, sitting on the balconies, amiably answering questions about the meal they have just enjoyed and airing their wordly wisdom. Maxi Cohen has been working with video for more than ten years; the Rotterdam Film Festival showed work by her a few years ago (including the film 'Joe and Maxi' and video productions). 'Cape May: End of the Season' forms part of 'New TV: An Entire Program of New Video Entertainment'.
