This portrait of 'Le Monde' was made by Jaeggi and Fargier who set up the video group 'Les Cent Fleurs' in 1973 with Annie Caro. How is the business run? How are decisions made? Why is one article used and another spiked? W hat does a foreign correspondent do? Who or what decides the style of the newspaper? Does 'Le Monde' have a line? How has this daily developed into an internationally respected quality newspaper? Who calls the tune? How is the editor chosen? These questions are answered on screen making use of the Paluche. All the departments received a visit and Hubert Beuve-Mérv, the paper's founder, says a few words. One reviewer is struck by the fact that this example of video journalism is a worthy reflection of its subject.
