The subject of this production, made for showing on a monitor turned on its side, is the manipulation of movement. Most of the images chosen as examples are escalators and lifts (the lift doors and cage move at right angles to each other). Vertical and horizontal movements alternate whether or not in their correct plane. The effect of this video is increased by intervention in the image. There are comparisons with Dalibor Martinis' 'Image Is Virus' especially with shots of a rocket taking off, the paradigm of an upwards movement in our age. In the additional documentary about an installation we see the monitors on which the production is being shown themselves moving. In this way they are not just used to show the effect, but themselves become part of it.
