In this tape the protagonist's absorption in thoughts on personal values and life's larger questions is played alongside streams of slogan-like text - i.e.: 'the break through forever', 'committees everywhere', 'sexual activity', 'theory' -, in juxtapositions and layers scrutinizing the complexities of modern life in a post-modern society. Beauty and violence, corporate monopolies, information, narcissism and the next diversion. Where have all the butterflies gone, baby? Noel Harding elaborated upon some of these ideas in a seperate work, 'This Is What; a Sculpture for Theatre', premiered at the Mickery Theatre, Amsterdam, 30 November 1982.
