Using a minimum of basic data the maker has used wilful editing to elicit dramatic tension. She always concentrates on two elements, such as a child and copulating parents in 'Ere I Saw Elba'. In 'Cartoon Tape' the basis is a series of unrelated drawings depicting two naively-drawn figures with a mysterious relationship with each other. The power of the work is in the rhythm, the cadence of images. A cadence which is emphasized by the sound and the music which she has chosen as accompaniment.
