Both registration and part of an installation, 'Media ø ø ø' should be indexed under 'fanture romantics', or 'spacey sorcery à la mod'. A description could never do justice to the packaging, a joy to the eye. A freaky singer performs French New Wave as a woman rolls on silver paper. Then she roams around a construction like a space ship where she is reflected on screens. X-ray photos, animated computer graphics, slow-motion, freeze-frames, bleeps, warning on screen texts, canned voices and fatal countdowns. This sort of quasi-futurism is often applied amateuristically, but Yann Nguyen Minh has produced an absolute classic in this genre.
