The Canadian television maker Edward Mowbray discarded the yoke of his masters to comment on the way television dealt with the attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan. Mowbray made his contribution independently, providing him with the maximum artistic freedom. Using archive material he shows us a variety of events simultaneously. While the main image is of the moments af ter the shooting in slow-motion, an insert shows Reagan leaving hospital as the reporter mentions his wit. It is a portrait of the media, but also of America's First Citizen, who can even cash in politically on an attack.
