Servaas is mainly known for using pneumatic mechanisms to influence the picture with the sound, or the other way round. Last year we were able to see and hear this at the first World Wide Video festival. This year one of his pneumatic video installations will be set up at the festival. His pneumatic work was also one of the ingredients of a controversial live television series in which Moniek Toebosch presented elements of the 1983 Holland Festival. 'Spring Time Again?' is however far removed from the pneumatic world. The motions of maggots mix small pieces of coloured plastic. Death and decay juxtaposed with a cheerful new spring. The sound is music by Mozart.
