Moniek Toebosch, Dutch 'femme terrible' or 'enfant fatale', plays four different roles. Because the four 'stories' are intertwined, the tension is present right up to the end. We first see a piece of white paper and a hand. Her voice states firmly: 'This is a piece of white paper'; a male voice replies affirmatively. Later this man tries to rob her of this certainty: the piece of paper is green, red, blue. In vain… Another character she plays is an insecure woman; never completing her sentences. Leaving everyone to guess at her next words, she parodies mercilessly the world of therapy. The camera work is just as faltering. Sitting at a typewriter on which she accompanies herself, La Toebosch sings. At first she is only partly on screen, her grotesque act only gradually becomes clear. Shots of her in a studio; she is painting, an object. Other paintings are shown. The styles differ: constructivist, expressionistic... She explains it all. 'I'm so glad I'm a girl.'
