Melancólico
  Mozambique 1986
Videotape, 5:58, colour
As part of a campaign to improve living conditions in the Mozambique countryside, 'Melancólico' offers an admonitory ballad about the social consequence of husbands' casting off the ageing mothers of their children and trying to restore the lost charms of conjugal life by installing a better- looking, younger wife in their homes. And there, to our astonishmerit is the pied piper of Hamelin turning up in Africa.
