The world behind the television screen is fascinating and inspires day-dreams. What would it be like to look from that world into ours? A filmed reproduction of Goya's 'Maja' appears on the screen and seems to come to life. She sets in motion a series of associative images, continually changes role and character, toys with the fantasies of the viewer and tries (seduction - a characteristic feature of video and film) to entice the viewer into her world. It remains a purely visual seduction: the gulf between her world and ours remains unbridgeable. The screen is merely glass, the electronically evoked images remain in her universe, and we in ours.
