Taka a trained as a photographer and cameraman. He works primarily editing television programmes, commercials and promotional films on commission for industrial companies. This background stands him in good stead in his activities as a video and performance artist. In 'Deno' he inter-weaves various images found in the rubbish-bin next to his editing-table. This exercise in recycling produces an amusing resumé of the visual bombardment to which we are day in, day out exposed. Clips frorn news broadcasts, 8mm domestic films and street scenes compete for attention. The soundtrack repeats this confusion, so that the white noise of a television-screen snowstorm can produce an experience of satori.
