Videotape, 11:44, colour
A 'pan' is the movement of the camera around its vertical axis. If the camera completes the movement through 360°, the result is a panorama: a total overview of the world surrounding the camera. This is how Terai has represented 'Ordinary life', by editing together pans made at different locations and fabricating one continuous 'pan'. Subtle alterations in the staging give a personal tinge to the recording.
