For connoisseurs of video art, the name Gábor Bódy prompts them to look expectantly at the monitor. In 1985 he was represented at the World Wide Video Festival with 'Either-or in Chinatown' and in 1986 with the splendidly titled production 'Philo-Mytho-Lyric clips: De Occulta Philosophia, nach Agrippa von Nettesheim'. He could also be seen on local television of The Hague and Amsterdam with a programme about the pioneering English photographer Eadweard Muybridge. At that time he lived in West-Germany where he played a central role in the video scene. His death in 1986 was a shock to many people. With this tape, Bonta Zoltán tries to combine his personal memories of Bódy (he was his assistant from 1979) with a review of the artistic work of his friend/teacher. The result is a sympathetic portrait of a passionate artist.
